Customers will need to provide a copy of the consignee's Qatar ID or Residence Permit if held, or a copy of their passport if no ID or permit is held, in order to assist with clearing the shipment as used personal effects.

All printed materials (books, CDs, DVDs, and computer software) are subject to censorship and must be packed together in an easily accessible location in the consignment. Items deemed inappropriate will be confiscated and fines levied on the importer.

Qatar customs charge 5% VAT on the value declared for the items. And if customs inspectors find that these goods are new, and that they are in commercial quantities, then a customs fee will also be collected. It is something that we cannot confirm anything, as it is charged by customs.
